The AKEM Foundation was established to preserve and honor the twin legacies of the late Engr. Akinola and Mrs. Emiola Ogunsan: a deep commitment to quality education and economic empowerment.

Launched in January 2023 by the Ogunsan siblings—Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, Abbey Ogunsan, Lady Aduke Aina, and Folorunsho Ogunsan—the foundation serves as a tribute to their parents' lifelong passion for supporting indigent students and entrepreneurs. As Dr. Ayo Ogunsan shared, the initiative is built on the "value system and high moral standards" their parents instilled in them.

From providing scholarships to pupils to supporting orphanages and empowering young graduates, AKEM Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that financial constraints do not dull the potential of any child or individual. It is not just charity; it is a continuation of a family's legacy of love, discipline, and community service.
